As you’re racing out of town towards Las Vegas, the first major city you will drive through is Wickenburg. Just about 55 miles outside of Phoenix is a blast from the past that has all the new amenities and communities you will ever need. Just before the roundabout is the Hassayampa river and bridge. Just remember there is no fishing from the bridge.
Instead of making that right at the roundabout, follow it around to the Downtown District where it will take you straight back to the pioneer days. You will find 100-year-old bar, food locations, and movie theater. Wickenburg has a fantastic museum celebrating all it is as to offer. They even have the old Jail tree.
